Thomas' father, William, came from Kildorrery. Co Cork. William's father, Thomas, migrated to London after the death of his wife, Ellen (Carey). William married (1) Mary Smith from Co. Cork and (2) Mary Hayes from Tipperary.
Thomas was the son of Mary & William. He migrated to Australia in 1912 having served in the British Army in India. On the outbreak of WWI he immediately enlisted in the Australian Army and embarked for the Front in 1914.
He was killed on 2 May 1915 at Gallipoli.
