My G-G-Grandfather, William GALLAGHER was born in 1819 in what we believe is Ramelton, Co Donegal. Family bibles show that he was born in Rath Mealton, Co Donegal which we have been advised could be Rath Melton, or today as Ramelton. He immigrated to New Brunswick, Canada in the 1830's and married Elizabeth SWAN, who we believe was born 1837 in Claudy, Cumber, Co Londerry, Northern Ireland. I don't know when she immigrated to Canada, but they were married 24 Jan1843 in Prince William, York, New Brunswick, Canada. I realize there is a fair amount on conjecture in the forgoing, but am hoping that this might ring a bell with someone out there.
