William Griffith was the son of William griffith and Mary Cannon. He married Rose Campbell At Cookstown county Tyrone on 10 May 1865. They had eleven children. William and Rose resided at Dungloe for some years where William was the agent for Dungloe HOuse taking over from his father who had the same name and same position. The family moved to Carrowcannon sometime after 1885. By 1888 William had purchased Carrowcannon House. When they sold this property they resided at the Crossroads. William was appointed as a JP in May 1899. He was a staunch supporter of those families who had been evicted from their homes. He spent some little while in prison as a result of his support. I have located his probate which give the parish priest John Boyle as his executor. As yet I have not been able to locate his will.
