One of Samuel Frederic Burton's daughters married John Gleeson, amongst their children was Edward Burton Gleeson (bc1802), who settled in South Australia in 1838 and founded the town of Clare, naming his homestead 'Inchiquin', and encouraging the immigration of many Irish from Co Clare.
