An Muillin Dubh (the black mill) aka Mullenduff (civil parish of Kilcolagh)  is a townland that sits on the western boundary of Mantua Demesne (civil parish of Shankill).  Mullenduff was originally pronounced "Mullindoo" and also been recorded as Mullaghdugh / Mullindugh / Mullinduff c. 1837

From 1807 until the time of the famine the following couples were baptising in Mullinduff (Elphin RC parish records):

Bartholomew Beirne & Brigid Mulvihill (sponsors: Margaret Giblin ) > moved to Brackloon by 1820.  

Laurance Dinash & Winifred Hester (sponsors:  Eleanor Kenny ) > lived in Ballytrasna in 1810.
