I live in South Australia and am trying to research the Irish born ancestors on both sides of my family. I have some bare details but would love to know more about my Irish (and Scottish) origins from such places as: Honorah Birmingham from Shanagolden, Co Limerick; Mary Anne Nelligan from Ennis, Co Clare; Mary Anne Teresa Naylor, from ? County Wessex; Margaret Drennan from Donaghadee, Co Down; John Boyle from Kilcolman Asdee, Co Kerry; Sarah Matilda Crosset from Co Derry. Any suggestions on tracing these people would be gratefully accepted.

I am currently working on tracing my great grandfather's third wife - Mary Anne Nelligan who was born in Ennis, County Clare in 1875 to parents - William Nelligan (b. 1834) and Bridget O'Gorman. Mum has written Corofin beside her step grandmother's name but I don't know what that means.

She emmigrated to Australia with her brother Joseph. Mary Anne married in 1906, in Adelaide, South Australia and the family were RC.

I don't have any further records of either of them. If you can offer any suggestions, I'd be delighted.
