Staff at Clones Shell depot. This was taken about 1919. The shell depot was located where the C.I.E. yard was, across from Morgans hardware, this was a time when petrol was sold in 2 gallon tins.
The people in it are, back L-R Mick Purdy, Frank Nicholl, Tom Connolly, (cousin of James, 1916 leader) John Lynch, Hughie McCaffery.
Frontrow L-R James Murphy, Larry Malone, John Boylan. Tom Connolly and John Lynch worked in Thompsons egg store nearby.
