17th October 1171
Back to List

On the 17th of October 1711, King Henry II of England made history as the first English King ever to set foot on Irish soil.

He landed in Waterford with 4,000 men.

This was in response to a fear that Strongbow would establish his own independent Kingdom in Ireland.

Henry's arrival marked the beginning of British rule in Ireland which would continue until the establishment of the Free State in 1922.

  • Oh my God, I had a task - to write an ees about Henry LL, I was very worn out, freaked out, I was not given this written work - too many sources had to be processed in a short period of time. And I turned to the guys in https://customwritinghelp.org/ and everything turned out cool - the work was handed over to "A", and then I read everything about him, according to the sources used) now I am a professional in this matter
