My Great Grandmother, Mary McCarthy, was supposedly born in Abbeyfeale, Limerick in Dec 1825. She emigrated to Canada in about 1851 and married my great grandfather in 1852 in an Anglican church which makes me suspect she was Protestant. Were there any Protestant churches in Abbeyfeale that I might check for records? The only parent name I have is her father, John McCarthy. Thanks for any assistance.

In the list of Church of Ireland parish registers at
https://www.ireland.anglican.org/cmsfiles/pdf/AboutUs/library/registers…
it shows that the baptisms for Abbeyfeale start with 1829.

RootsIreland lists three John McCarthys who were head of household in 1853 in Abbeyfeale (Griffith’s Valuation of Limerick). There were likely other McCarthys in Abbeyfeale; I didn’t search for them. You could do so at askaboutireland.ie.
