Anastatia Murphy of Grangehill, married my 2 x great-uncle John Salter at Pitt & Castlewarren (church?), Clara on 28 Nov 1855. Both were living at Grangehill at the time of the marriage. Anastatia's parents are John Murphy & Judith Cahill and John's parents are William Salter & Agnes O'Neill of Boula (Castlewarren?), Gowran. Anastatia & John went to Australia in Oct 1856 along with John's sister, Margaret. In the Census of Ireland 1901 there is a Philip Murphy, a farmer, his wife Maryann, and their family living at Grangehill, Clara, Gowran. The children include a daughter named "Statia" b.1898. Is there a connection with this family?
