Have some limited information trying to find some links. Great grandmother Mary Ann Boyd born around 1867 and thought to be in Monaghan, her father was a Robert Boyd, who know was deceased by 1892 when she married in Belfast Co Down 28 August 1892 to a James Dickson of Belfast Co Down. No record of her father's death in Belfast so assume he was buried in Monaghan or elsewhere. Church of Ireland.
No idea of mother's name or any siblings and my mother has no recollection, although found a reference to a Margaret Jane Dickson. Mary Ann lived until 1 May 1953 and is buried in Belfast. On 1901 & 1911 census has listed birthplace on one as Armagh and on another Cavan but my family insist she came/was born in Co Monaghan. Maybe the proximity of other counties could eb the reason?
Saw a Robert Boyd mentioned on another post but not sure if a related family. If anyone can provide any lead/insight or any direction this would be helpful as have hit an impasse. MY mother does recollect that she had to send to a parish in Co Monaghan for her birth certificate but we no longer have this copy. Thanks for any anticipated information.
