Elizabeth Hayes, Belfast

The nearest I could find was an Elizabeth Hay d/o Alexander Hay who was born 25.11.1868 at 1 Concord St, Belfast. Mother was Elizabeth Hay formerly Hayes.   The father was a cabinet maker.

However there is also a baptism for this child in January 1869 (Church of Ireland, Shankill) which gives the surname as Hayes. So this may be the event you are looking for.

Elizabeth Hayes was married to Andrew Murray in 1893 in the Registry office in Belfast and her father's occupation was given as Farmer.

I should have pointed that out before!

Cabinet maker to farmer is an unusual career change for the father Alexander. I’d wonder if it’s the right family. You don’t normally find farmers in the middle of a city so that bothers me too.

Looking at the birth records of her children she was also known as" Lizzie."

I did find a lizzie hayes on the Ulster Historical Foundation index in 1869.

Father was Alexander and mother was Sarah.

So maybe that is the one?
