The IreAtlas Townland Data Base shows that the townlands of Coos North and Coos South were in the Civil Parish of Ballynakill, County Galway. See: https://tinyurl.com/3azevkz5

This Google Map shows that Coos North and Coos South are just under 90 miles southeast of Galway City, near the County Clare border: https://tinyurl.com/34vv2x7n

An Irish property tax record known as Griffiths Valuation from circa 1856 shows that a John Mulvihill and a Michael Mulvihill leased houses and land in Coos South from the Marquis of Clanricarde: https://i2.paste.pics/NTC0C.png

Griffiths Valuation does not show any Mulvihills leasing property in Coos North.

I searched the subscription site FindMyPast.ie and located the record for Patt Mulvihill.  Patt Mulvihill filed a complaint against Jonathan Fahy of Dourass (sp) for lack of payment for labor. The judge ordered Jonathan Fahy to pay one shilling to Patt Mulvihill plus another shilling for costs?

The document is not easily copied.

The other record (553) was a complaint by Pat Lynch against an Edward Burke for lack of payment for labor. It appears that Pat Lynch did not appear for the court hearing so no decision was reached.

The 1901 census for Drumminnamuckla South had two Lynch families headed by a Martin Lynch and a Michael Lynch. By 1911, only Michael Lynch was there. See links below.
