I have inherited hand-written notes about my family from Tullamore, King's County, Ireland. The notes say that my family (Hallorans & Tracys) lived on "Clara Road". Does anyone know what this means? Is this road still in existance?

    Hi Erin,

"Clara Road" means that the family were living "out of town". Clara is a town approx. five miles North West of Tullamore on the road to Moate in County Westmeath. If you check with the Parish Office in Tullamore they may be able to tell you if there are Halloran's and Tracy's living in Tullamore at the present time.

  • Hello Erin

There is also a Clara Road in Tullamore and is still in existence.
