The 1831 census of Co Londonderry has survived. I searched it and did not find the family. That fits with them being in Co Donegal at that time. Unfortunately the 1831 census of Donegal has not survived so I cannot search it.

You could get a researcher in Ireland to search the Presbyterian baptism records for Co Donegal to see if they can find the children’s baptisms. Copies of those records are in PRONI in Belfast. They are not on-line and so a personal visit is required to view them.

It would be helpful to know whether the Gould family were farmers or labourers as that can assist searching Irish records.

For general interest I have attached a transcript of a document from PRONI's collection in Belfast which discusses emigration from the Londonderry area in 1847.
