James McEvoy c1815

My great-great grand mother's name was Ellen McEvoy. She married a man named Bernard Kelly in Stockport, Cheshire, England on May 12, 1866.  Ellen's father was named Edward and he was a tailor by trade. They had a daughter named Sarah, born on March 16, 186,7 in Heaton Norris, Stockport. The family immigrated to the United States in 1869, and settled in Central Falls, Rhode Island. This is all the information I have on them. This information came directly from the marriage certificate and Sarah's birth certificate. I am hoping to find out more about her side of her family. If this is a possible link, please let me know. Thank you

I cannot say whether any of the info you gave me is relevant, as I just don't have enough info about my family.

The James McEvoy I mentioned is the father of Richard Joseph McEvoy b1843. Richard is my great grandfather who emigrated to Australia in 1863.

Unfortunately, this is all the info I have at the moment.

I continue to search for information on Edward McEvoy. I have some  leads in Ireland and England but have not been able to confirm any of them yet. I will look into Australia records. Anything I find I will post. Thank you for your information. It may be a lead.
