My father, James L. Ryan, started genealogical research in the 1990's and on into the early 2000's.  He had received information from Tipperary, Ireland North Family History Research Service as well as Hiberian Research Company Ltd. and various census reports in the United States.

His great-grandfather, Jeremiah Ryan, emigrated to the United States from Ireland in 1859 (via Liverpool) arriving in NY on 12/25/1859.

He had a brother, Martin Ryan, born 1849 died 1888, who also settled in the same area of Indiana, USA.

Due to some detailed genealogical work by an individual whose relation married a grandson of Jeremiah, I have a fairly extensive outline of Jeremiah's family tree.

My question is this:

*Is there anyone that has this family on their board here?

*Is there anyone who might have his wife's family information (Mary Walsh b 24 Feb 1844 Tipperary Ireland d 17 Nov 1877; parents John Walsh and Margaret Delahunty

Jeremiah and Mary had 9 children; Mary died 2 days after the birth of her 9th.

*These prior searches didn't lead very far with Martin Ryan's information. He married Honora Delahunty 28 April 1875 daughter of Thomas Delahunty and Catherine Grimes.  I'm looking for information on this family line.

*Lastly, I'm curious if there were any other siblings to Jeremiah and Martin.  Could they perhaps have stayed in Ireland.

We will be visiting Ireland June-July 2024!

Thanks for any information.

I searched on two subscription sites and found Mary's baptismal record as you stated. The church was Templederry. I also found a baptismal record for a son John baptized June 23 1845 at the Thurles RC church. Thurles and Templederry are about three parishes apart. There is always the possibility that there was another John Walsh/Margaret Delahunty couple.

There are too many Jeremiah Ryan baptismal records in the 1830s to confirm a record for your ancestor.
