I'm looking for information concerning John Donohoo or Donoho, b. 1756 Ireland, d. 1815 Nelson County, Kentucky, USA. It appears that I am a direct descendent by son Charles Donohue or Donohew, b. 1779 Virginia or Nelson County, Kentucky, d. 1847-8 Scott County, Indiana. Thank you!

There are only two RC parishes in Co.Cavan which have records back to 1756. Donahoo (and variants) was/is a common surname in Co. Cavan. Without knowing John's parents names, there is no way to confirm any records we might find. For example, there is a 1759 baptismal record for a John Donogho in Castlrahan RC church records but there is no way to confirm the record . More than likely he was baptized in a church that no longer has records back to the mid-18th century. By the way, looking at land records from the mid1850s, Donahoo and variants was found in large numbers in Drumlumman civil parish followed by Annagh civil parish and a few other parishes..
