My name is W. Scott Lenihan, residing in Whitehall, NY, USA. My wife is Jean (Lenihan) Corcoran. Her father was born in Ireland and lived in Ballycumber (Offaly) until his family emigrated to the U.S. early in the 20th century. My great, great grandfather,Jeremiah Lenihan, emigrated to the U.S. in 1848-50, from Cork. We're not sure where he lived at the time he left Ireland, but the family sailed from Cork.
My wife and I are flying from New York City to Dublin on September 20, 2013. We will be trying to establish contact with the Lenihans who may still reside in Ireland. Any information about Jeremiah's descendants would be helpful. Our email address is sandjal1966@verizon.net.
