I have been looking for the siblings of George Wilson for 20 years or more.
George was born in Ireland about 1800/01.
He came to England, to Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, where there was an Irish community.
He was a blacksmith.
He married his first wife, a widow, 1825, Church of England.
At the same time as he came to England, his brother went to America.
As recently as the 1950s, his grandson & wife, James & Leanora Wilson (known as Jimmy & Laura), were in touch with both their American & Irish relatives.
Family names: James, Charles, Henry & George.
I have tried army records, Family Tree Magazine and Ancestry.
I would be grateful if you have any other suggestions.
