I'm researching the family of Matthew MULCAHY (b. 1820) and his wife Anne WARD (b. 15 Aug 1823/1824).  I have found a church marriage record for them (Newport parish, Cashell and Emly diocese), married 26 Nov 1845, but it does not list the husband's or wife's father or mother.  One witness is Daniel Ward, who  may be a relative of Anne's (?).  The other witness is Jude Hayes.  They had a daughter, Mary, who was baptized on 17 Sep 1846, also Newport parish, Cashel and Emly diocese.  Sponsors were Patrick Ryan and Sally Ward, perhaps another relative of Anne's (?).  I believe they emigrated to New York in 1852 or 1853.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide me in finding more information on this family, particularly the names of the parents of Matthew and Anne, as well as any other family members.

The subscription site Roots Ireland has a October 13 1820 baptismal record for a Mathew Mulcahy with father Denis Mulcahy and mother Mary Ryan in the Newport RC parish. The family lived in Ballyhourigan townland in Killoscully civil parish. There is a good possibility that this record is for your ancestor. Siblings John 1819 Mary 1823 Catherine 1828 Norah 1833.

Parents were married in Newport on May 23 1816. Denis was from Birdhill. Mary was from Ballyhourigan

The earliest Anne Ward baptismal record was in the 1830s so your Anne must have been baptized in a parish that no longer has records back to 1823/1824.
