My great-aunt, Annie Kate McBrien, from Garvary townland passed away on 27 May at the age of 101. She was the last of her siblings, and it’s nice that many of her McBrien great-nephews have crossed the Lough in the past few years to keep the line alive. Her mother was Lizzie Gunn from Naan Island, whose parents were Michael and Ann (McManus), and her father was Peter McBrien , son of Francis and Susan (Maguire). I’ve traced McBrien and Gunn distant cousins to Boston and Australia with GEDMATCH (ID A503349) and Ancestry public trees. Any McBrien or related cousins out there?
