Seeking information about my GGGGgrandfather, Owen J McGrath, or his wife, Honora "Nora" McAndrews.  Their son, Michael Edward McGrath (1859-1931) was my GGGgrandfather.  He immigrated to the United States and I would love to learn more about where he came from.

Thank you!

    Hello again!

The RC parish for Binghamstown is Kilmore Erris and baptismal records start in 1859 but not sure which month. The parish register indicates June 1860 https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0752  but Roots Ireland may have some records back to 1859. I did find three baptismal records for younger siblings of Michael. The family lived in a townland called Lurgacloy which is about five kilometers south from Binghamstown. See baptismal transcriptions below. You can also find civil birht records online for free at www.irishgenealogy.ie

There were no McGraths in Lurgacloy in the 1901 census. I will check further for death records.

Below is a transcription of Honora's death record. The townland would be Knockshanbo in Kilmore parish. I did not locate a record for Owen.
