I'm trying to find some information on my 2nd Great Grandfather Michael Mannion. I have him listed as being born in Galway, May 1841. His Parents were listed as Thomas and Bridget. For Bridget there is no maiden name so was wondering if it may be on a birth or baptism of Michael. 

He Married Mary Connaughton, arrived around 1865 and they married in Massachusetts, USA

Mary Connaughton was alos born in Galway on or about 1844. They list her parents as John and Mary. Again Mary's maiden name was blank. So was wondering if it could be listed on her birth also.

For Thomas I think his parents were Patt and Mary Kelly. Bridget's parents are unknown.

For John I have his parents as Peter and mother as Margaret Conlin. Mary's are unknown.

I don't know if you can find any information on Bridget and Mary's maiden name. If you can it would be much appreciated.

I've found out a few helpful inquiries here, as you try and help us lost souls looking for our ancestors, This is a wonderful site and everyone has been awesome with their help I for one really appreciate the service that you provide. Even though I was told to drink irish whiskey to get through this genealogy (which was a funny reply, and gave me a good laugh). As anyone knows us irish have a great sense of humor.

    Thanks you for your comments about IRO!

    I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland. I did not find any viable baptismal records in Co. Galway for either Michael or Mary. Possibly, the parishes they where they were baptized no longer have records back to the 1840s. I then expanded the search to all of Ireland and found a possible record for both Michael and Mary in Co. Roscommon. I think the Mary record is a stronger possibility.of being the correct record.

    Do you have names for siblings of either Michael or Mary?
