Good day,

I’m still researching my family history in Ireland and I’m hoping someone on this message board can assist me.

I’m looking for information on the Morarity family from Kerry. I know there are close to 400 Moriarty families in Kerry, but this family lived in the townland of Coss.  According to <townlands.ie> this townland is located in the Barony of Dunkerron North, in the civil parish of Knockane in the sub-district of Glencar.

I’ve been told the land is now part of a national park and the farm house has been demolished.  When I view the property online it appears to be outside the park.  I’m hoping someone can telling if the townland is part of a national park or not.  Also, if anyone has any information about this particular Moriarty family they would share i would appreciate it.

Thank you in advance for help you can give.

Don't know if you will see this, but I have some information on the Moriarty's of Coss - I've managed to trace most of the brothers and sisters, although would be good to compare notes.. Happy to share with you via e-mail. My e-mail is jerrymoriarty@hotmail.co.uk
