I have been trying to look up my family tree for quite some time and I've narrowed down the fact that my family originated in the City of Cork in Cork County. I'm trying to find information about Murphys' who of which immigrated to the United States, preferably in the New York/Pennsylvania area (I currently live in Luzerne County, PA -- it's about thirty minutes away from the New York border). If anyone has any information, it'd be greatly appreciated. :)

    for anyone to help you would need to give a bit more information such as names and dates of birth, marriage etc. Murphy is a very common name in Cork - 14,533 in the 1901 census. My advice is to work back from the US records - census, marriage and death certs to get some clues to narrow the search.
