I am looking for birth record for John Gilliland born 1841 in Belfast in 1841 his father was James Gilliland listed in his marriage record he was Presbyterian married Sarah king he died in 1912 in Belfast he had a David who had married Harriet issbel lappin his son David leathem gilliland was my grandfather

Not many Presbyterian records are on-line. You would need to go to PRONI and search the Belfast Presbyterian records there to see if you can find John's baptism. There are around 18 Presbyterian churches in Belfast with records for the 1840s. So that would be several hours work going through them.

John and Sarah Gilliland lived Fitzroy ave anyone in Belfast can you please see if you can locate any photos of my family members also of Caroline Cassidy also in Belfast she died in 1940 her husband William died in 1952 retired editor Belfast Telegraph and their boys William and frederick thanks
