Nellis/McNelis/McNeilis

I am trying to trace the details and the location of their burial place of the parents of Bernard Nellis/McNelis/McNealis (various iterations of the name).

Bernard (Barney) was born somewhere in South Donegal in January 1827. I have no other details, other than he married a Bridget Molloy before they emigrated to the USA in 1847.

I spent two days a few weeks ago tramping the graveyards around Ardara and made a note of 12 graves of people buried in the 1800s who might be Bernards parents or siblings that didn't emigrate.
