Good Morning/Evening/Afternoon everyone,  I have been doing the family tree for a number of years and i cannot find any information on my Grandfathers Birth. His name is Patrick Kavanagh his father is Laurence Kavanagh. Patrick was born 1907? and died 20 Dec 1969 as per cert, which i have obtained from my Aunty.  He has a sibling James born around 1910? and he was a Butcher in Meath my da thinks. My father cant recall if there was any other siblings,

My grandfather was a corporation driver all his life. On his marriage cert on irishgeneology to Mary Lambert it states he lived at 8 Marys Abbey. He did live after his marriage on Cashel Road Crumlin.

I am just wondering if someone can help please to find out if his  birth was on 17 March 1907? where he was born and his mothers name. His father Laurence my gg grandad was a garage owner as per sons marriage cert.  I also have no info on his father Laurence.

Patrick and Mary had 13 children and all bought up on Cashel Road Crumlin.  There was talk about Wexford for my G Grandad to be born but ????

I live in Australia and hard to do family tree as i have not met alot well most of my relatives in Ireland as came out here in 1974 with family.

I shall be returning to Ireland in August / September this year. Yah can't wait. to do alot of research.

Thank you so much in advance.

Cheers and keep smiling

Dear Sharon:  thank you for your email to Ireland Reaching Out and welcome to the site.

It sounds as if you have checked the civil records on the. Irish Genealogy website but it might be worth checking again.  In addition,  church records for some of the Dublin parishes on the Church records section of the Irish Genealogy site which you should check.  Further to that, some of the Dublin parish registers on the National Library website have baptisms recorded online up to 1917.  These should all be checked.

You can also add your grandfather to the ancestor database on the XO Chronicles (located at the top of the page).  If you need any further assistance or have any questions, please feel free to email me at:  jhalloranryan@irelandxo.com.

    Good luck with your research!

    Kind regards,

     Jane
