Hi folks,
I'm a little confused by the names of these two streets. The address for the library is O Gorman Street. However when I look at the map it says Pound Street. I'm interested in this because I have Clancy, Hynes and Shannons living in Pound Street 1860's.

Hi Norah,
Pound Street and O'Gorman Street are the same. Changes were made following Irish Independence in 1922. Usually the new name was to remember some person who was active in local politics. See Landed Estates@nuigalway and Clare County Archives.
