Hello!

New to this site and board. Looks great and will have a blast reading all your info. I am just starting to research my mother's father's line. Micheal Quinn born, I beleive in Monaghan in possibly Kilmore 1807. Married Martha (Matilda) Early on Jan 8 or 18, in Donagh. parish variants: Glasslough, Diocese: Clogher. Any help would be great. Looking for birth info and when and how he or they made their way to PEI Canada ( Lower Hope River).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Priscilla

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

The baptismal records for New Ross RC parish go back to 1789 https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0604  Marriage records start much later-1859.  I searched the subscription site FindMyPast and did not find a baptismal record for Michael Quinn or Martha Early in Co. Wexfordand did not see a marriage record. The surname Early was not found in Wexford in the 19th century so more than likely the couple married in PEI.

We have an XO Chronicles site  https://www.irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/history-and-genealogy/ancestor-dat…; where you can add Michael's emigration story and possibly someone will see a connection.

    Have you considered DNA testing?
