Im looking for information about Richard Butler & Ellen Walsh.
Ellen lived in Glaunta at the time of their marriage in Danesfort 1828.
Her surname is recorded as Welsh on her marriage certificate and Walsh on all of her childrens baptism records, although she uses Eleanor as a first name on one of them.

A witness to the wedding was James Walsh (Welsh) who must be a male relative.
The childrens baptisms were registered in Thomastown from 1828. Maybe that means Danesfort was Ellen's parish but Richard lived in Thomastown, or they moved their together afterwards.

I dont know anything about Ellen or Richard's siblings or parents so any help in that direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Danesfort records start in 1819 so if Ellen was from that parish you likely won't find a record. Thomastown goes back to the 1700s. I searched for Richard Butler on the subscription site Roots Ireland in Thomastown and there were two leads.

Richard Butler born January 30 1803 (baptized on January 31) with father John Butler and mother Catherine Comerford. Lived in Oldtown

Richard Butler born November 15 1805 (baptized November 16) father Michael Butler and mother Eleanor Ryan Lived in Jerpoint.
