I will be visiting Ballinakill Parish in May and hope to learn more about my ancestors who lived here.

My ancestors lived in the townland of Lisheeny (https://www.townlands.ie/galway/leitrim/ballynakill/drumkeary/lisheeny/) in the 1820s, and I am looking for anyone who is familiar with the area that would be willing to show me around. I am not sure of the exact location of my ancestors home in Lisheeny due to some ambiguity in the Tithe Applotment Records, but I am very interested in visiting. I am also interesting in visiting any old cemeteries nearby, and I know there is a small cemetery at Curragh, just south of Lisheeny, and another old cemetery in the ruins of the medieval church in Ballinakill. Are there any others that would be important for me to visit while I was there? I plan to visit the Woodford Heritage Centre during my stay, as well as the ruins of Burke’s mansion at Marblehill.
