Hello I have also posted on another site but grateful for any help. Trying to find baptism record of William Clear born in Kilkenny about 1832 but could be from 1825. Parents John Clear and Bridget Buckley married 1821 Dioeses of Ossory Muckalee Kilkenny. Known sibling Edmund Clear born around 1824 and a sibling Margaret. I have also been searching for death record of John and Bridget. William died in Australia on the 13/8/1918 in Bombala NSW . It appears he came to australia via South Africia where he was a baker with his brother Edmund. His father John was a farmer

Unfortunately, the RC parish of Muckalee has a 33 year gap with their baptismal records from 1806-1839. Presumably William and his siblings were baptized in that parish during the period where records are lost.

To find other information of my gg grandfather William Clear Born Kilkenny 1825-1832 without baptism records of his life in Ireland can anyone suggest any other records I should check please. Grateful for any leads. I must say out of all my ancestors the Clears are not easy to find information on

I have sent your post to a tree holder of Edmund Clear. I have given them information on where to find you in this site.
I did search and saw a John Clear in Donagile townland in Castlecomer. When I saw the tree it was the same family.
