William Patrick Shay

Did he go to CT? There's an entry on findagrave showing the headstone in CT of a William P. Shay.  The entry says he was born in 1837 in Kerry, but no source is given. Here's the link to findagrave:

Yes, that is my great grandfather and his wife.I even went to the grave many years ago and guess because I saw the front of the stone and took a picture which doesn't say anything about Co.Kerry.Unfortunately. Does it also says where Maria his wife is from ? Is it not odd to put those things on the back of the stone??I dragged a child Memorial day weekend to that cemetery and the new St.Joseph's where their son Frank Leo Shay and wife Ellen Teresa Conneally are buried.Do you by any chance know if it says anything about her birth place???Are you in Winsted?CAn't thank you enough for this information because neither I nor my daughter thought to look  at the BACK of the stone.

Hi, I didn't see Kerry on the headstone. Whoever put the info on findagrave wrote that Wm. was born in Kerry and his wife in Ireland.

Thank you Patricia. So I am still looking for William Patrick Shay/Shea, son of Patrick Shea/Shay and Mary Navin.There was another Dr.Shea in New Haven, as well as my father. His family was from Cahersiveen. Could this also be where my great grandfather was from?????????/
