Roman Catholic: Clooney is in the RC parish of Ennistymon aka Kilmanaheen (Diocese of Galway, Kilmacdouagh & Kilfenora). Unfortunately only baptism & marriage records for Jan 15 1870 - Sept 8 1880 survived here. Imaged online (Pos. 2440) Transcribed at FamilySearch, Ancestry & FindMyPast.

Protestant Church of Ireland: Clooney is part of th Diocese of Kilfenora.
The old St. Andrew's Church (built in 1778) served as the the protestant church for Ennistymon until 1831, when a new Gothic Revival Church of Ireland of the same name was built (now Teach Ceoil St. Andrews). See also the rectory at Kilmanaheen Glebe.
