1920 was a shocking year in Irish history, what with murder, violence and property destruction. In Galway there was the shooting dead of Seán Mulvoy, Séamus Quirke, Micheál Breathnach, Eileen Quinn and the Loughnane brothers of Shanaglish. The most shocking of all was the abduction and murder of twenty-eight year old Fr Michael Griffin whose body was found six days later in a shallow grave near Barna west of Galway.

To commemorate the centenary of this horrendous event I have just published this book. It is now available for sale and distribution
