Hello, I am a cousin from Chicago related through Catherine Meade, nee Griffin. She was born 1 Jan 1900. Married Michael Meade of Crahera 24 February 1925. She gave birth to 4 children, Kathleen, Thomas,Michael and Michael. Catherine died in 12 January 1991. She is buried in Kilchreest Cemetery.I have Census records and seek information on her parents, Michael Griffin and Catherine Can't.. Also in the 1911 census there is a Michael Griffin family in house 5 . How is he related to the family? His birth year indicates he is not a sibling.

The maiden name for Catherine's mother appears to be Caby. I checked two other civil birth records for her brothers and also see Caby. The marriage likely occurred in 1885/1886. I found a civil marriage record for a Michael Griffin and Catherine Cahey and I'm wondering if this may be the marriage record for Catherine's parents. You will have to sign-in to see the record. Both fathers were deceased. Regarding the other Michael Griffin in the 1911 census, it appears that he and his wife were married in 1908 so I would like at the civil marriage records, find the fathers names and work back.
