Good morning everyone,

I am adopted and reunited with my birth Pugh family ahdvery interested in family history in fact social history in general.

My maternal GG father William Pugh married a Maria MacNamara both born 1850 ish  and emigrated to England in late 1800s with my g father Arthur Henry Pugh .

Both families had links to.the area and my GG father was a constable .Marias father might have been a teacher or farmer,

All family records have been lost and any help would be gratefully received .

I'll be in ROI soon and love your people and culture and nature .

Thank you

Stephen

    Stephen,

Attached is a record of the marriage of William Pugh and Maria Alice McNamara in 1886 - No 85 on list.

It appears that William was based in Athenry, Co. Galway at the time of the marriage.

Ballycar is on the Sixmilebridge road out of Newmarket-on-Fergus.

    Regards,
