The 1821-1851 census returns were almost destroyed in a fire, the 1861-1891 census returns were destroyed by the Government. The 1901-1911 census returns are available on line free of charge on line on the National Archives of Ireland website.

Content on the Parish

Kilnamona which is the science of Church of the Bog or Marshy Field is located in the region of Inagh where Tony Griffin the ex Clare Hurler came from.


There first Senior hurling Chamionship crown was in 1902 after they were set up in 1887, they won it in 1903, and 1908.

Recently the last success in Hurling was in 2007 when they won the U21 Hurling Championship.

They bet Clonlara in the Senior B league final in 2010 beating them on a scoreline of 1-10 to 0-9.
