I am looking for any Spearin or Spearing who lived in Ballingarry and surrounding areas in the 1700's and early to mid 1800's. Any graveyards in the area both Catholic and Protestant where my Spearin/Spearing may be buried would be great also. In 1807 John Sperin was keeper of Bridewell in Ballingarry and William was Sub Constable there.
Any help with these families would be greatly appreciated.

I've checked my MacLysaght's surname reference books and find no SPEARIN or SPEARING. The closest I find is this from The Surnames of Ireland.
Mac SPARRAN - Mac an Spar?in (spar?n, purse). This name, fairly numerous in Cos. Derry and Antrim, is of Scottish origin (a branch of the clan MacDonald). In its homeland it is spelt MacSporran. MacAsparran is an occasional variant in Ulster.
I offer this in the event the name you are researching is just a phoenetic spelling.

I'm not sure if you are looking at any of these but do not find any within Clare County.
