My great-grandfather was Gerard Collins. He married Margaret (I don't know her maiden name) and had 4 children: Gerard, Maureen, Maurice and Marguerite. Maurice was my grandfather, born 1906. The others did not marry. I know Gerard died young, but Margaret never remarried. I wondered if anyone could take me back further? Thanks!
have you found the family on the 1901 and or 1911 census ?
I'd suggest starting the search with a birth cert for Maurice, as that would include the maiden name for his mother, which in turn would help the marriage search for Gerard snr and Magaret, a cert for which would provide father's details etc...
