Delia Murray, presumably from County Cork, born January 1863. She immigrated to the United States via Canada approximately 1876. She married a man named Thomas Soper and together they had five children. They lived most of their lives in Bay City, Michigan.
She is my 2nd great-grandmother. My grandfather as a child knew her a Bridget. I cannot find one piece of information on her, except that contained in the various U.S. census, none of which contain any personal information other than she was born in Ireland and a date of birth.
If there is anyone out there who has anything to share about her, I would love to hear from you. I've been searching and searching forever and ever. I would be most greatful! Thank you for your time.

As you will appreciate there are hundreds of Bridget Murrays born in Ireland in that time period.
All that I can suggest to you is to look at records for 1863 +-3 years or so. The baptismal records are online at two sites. One site deals with one half of cork and the other deals with the other half (for reasons thsat are too long winded to go into here)
www.irishgenealogy.ie (free site) www.rootsireland.ie ( free to search but pay to view record. Offer on at the moment so records cost abour €3 or so)
As you don't have any info regarding parents names, find out the names of all her children. Most children were called after the four grandparents so you may get a clue from there.
I'm sorry that I can't help you any more than this, but without a parent's name or townsland, it will be difficult to find the correct Bridget Murray and be sure that you're following the right one.
Have you any cousins who may have more information. It's amazing what you find out from talking to older relatives. they assume that you know all the info they have!!!

On www.rootsireland.ie/ there are no birth/baptism records of Delia Murray in any county in 1863 + - 10 years
The nearest match for Bridget Murray in Cork is 1864. There are 11 Bridget Murray 1863 birth/baptism records in other counties.
Do you have any reason for assuming she was from Cork?
