    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

I can't tell if you have the birth record or not but there is a civil birth index record for a Margaret Eleanor Doloughan in the Banbridge registration distrcit in 1876. You can get a copy from the General Register Office by mail for around 4 euros or get the record online at GRONI  https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/search-gronis-online-records  cost would be two pounds I believe.

I was unable to find a possible civil marriage record.

  • The birth that Roger has found looks to be the correct one. GRONI’s indexes confirm  dob as 24.4.1876. Mother’s maiden name McCracken. Likely siblings, all registered in Banbridge:

    Martha 8.Nov.1866

    John 1.Mar.1868 (Dolonghan)

    Mary 12.Dec.1870

Elizabeth 10.Nov.1873 (Dolonghan) If you post parents names, father's occupation, and the townland (address) where the birth took place on this board, I'll see if I can locate your family in other records. I see a couple of possibles in the 1901 census but need the parents names etc to be sure.
