I am looking for any information on the following:

Family of Michael O'Hara and Brigida O'Hara (maiden name unknown)

in 1861 they resided at 10 Longford Lane, here Whitefriar Lane Intersects

I believe that Michael was a blacksmith as I found notation to that somewhere and found evidence that his son John was a blacksmith also in USA

son John O'Hara married Emily Murphy 30 Jan 1861 in the parish of St. Nicholas

Emily Murphy's parents names were Patrick Murphy and Mariae Delany - they resided at 10 Whitefriar Lane - she had two known brothers John Murphy born 15 Jun 1834 and Thomas Murphy born March 1833,

John and Emily had a son Michael O'Hara born 20 March 1861 and possbily a second son John Joseph O'Hara born 17 July 1863 while in Ireland, many more post immigration,

From what I have pieced together John O'Hara most likely immigrated to the US in October 1863 and Emily followed with Michael and John in January 1864.

Brief US history shows that John may have enlisted in Civil War as a blacksmith and post-war settled in Ohio, moved to upstate New York and finally the family settled in Perth Amboy, NJ.  John passed away in Perth Amboy in November 1877 at age 41 and Emily passed August 1906.  They had a large family of which I am the product of down the line.

I would appreciate any help or discovery of any connection that anyone might know of in relation to any of the above.  The research is becoming addictive and I would like to go back as far as possible.

Thank you to anyone in advance for their assistance.

Regards,

Mary Ann Mazur - grand daughter to an O'Hara

You have a lot of information on your family so I'm wondering if you have alrready visited www.irishgenealogy.ie which is a free Irish government site which has church records for Dublin. I did some checking and found the 1863 baptismal record for John Joseph O'Hara. Also found an 1845 baptismal record in St. Nicholas church for a William O'Hara parents Michael O'Hara and Bridget Kavanagh. Possibly this William was a brother to John?
