Seeking descendants of William Thomas Jackson, born 1825 Dublin, baptised at St.Marks, son of Thomas and Anna Maria (nee Bagnall).  Known to have been living in Mountpleasant Avenue in 1847 and Mountpleasant Avenue Lower, Ranelagh in 1850.  Marriage records are confusing at best - may have married Mary Anne Nurse at St.Peters in 1861, and/or one of Louisa Mitchell, Louisa Curry, Adelaide Flood, or Ellen Byrne in 1873.

Died in 1901-2 at Jervis Street Hospital, Dublin.  Last known address 13 Cabra Road, Dublin. Probate documents list single beneficiary as James S. Jackson but relationship not clear.  James S. Jackson was one of 4 sons of Robert Saunders Jackson (1840s -1901) and Anne Jane Behan, the others being Robert Joseph (1864-1901), Dennis John Jackson (b.1866-?), George Elias Jackson (1872-?).  James S Jackson was born in 1874.

It is also possible that William Thomas J was related to Anna Maria Jackson, born 1855-1860, who married Charles Ward in Dublin North in 1879 and gave birth to Frederick Charles Ward in June 1880.

I am also seeking descendants of Charles and Anna Maria Ward.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

I hope someone researching the Jacksons will be in touch with you.
I see that there are 2 Jackson entries on the 1901 Census on Cabra Road:

  • Dear Clare,

Many thanks for the information re the two Jacksons at Cabra Road. I don't wish to appear greedy but you didn't happen to get their initials or first names by any chance did you? I suspect one was William Thomas J but the other one could be quite important.

    Kindest regards,
