This free family fun event will illustrate the rich cultural history of the best preserved medieval town in Ireland
The programme is inclusive to all with interactive activities and displays throughout the day.
There are events in Athenry Castle, the Community Park and the Heritage Centre too beginning at 1.30pm when the event will be launched by Cllr. Peter Roache, Chair of Galway County Council.
We will also be launching the restored Maddens Forge and will have blacksmith demonstrations showing the great skill involved in this work.
