I am researching my ancestors from County Galway, Ireland here in Tennessee, USA.  Thomas has his Parish listed as "Kiltharmer", as seen on his tombstone attached.  I believe this may be Kiltomer and was spelled according to sound by the scribe.

His stone list him as being 61 years of age at his death on August 27, 1880.  And his birth year as 1819.

He married Bridget Martin.  Whose maiden name was "Martin".

Any information or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

With Kind Regards,

Mitzie

I looked at the 1856 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Kiltormer civil parish. There are four Martin entries. . On July 8th the National Library of Ireland plans to place all RC parish registers online. Your RC parish is likely Laurencetown in the Diocese of Clonfert but their baptismal records don't start until 1834. Marriage records start in 1834 also so if Thomas and Bridget were married in that parish, you should be able to find the record.
