Hi, if someone could please help with my search it would be much appreciated.

I am trying to track down Malachy Glynn and his wife Bridget Monaghan.  I have a copy of their wedding but can't seem to go back any further to their parents etc.

Malachy Glynn Bri Mo.jpg

MALACHY GLYNN

Born: 1821?

D: 1st April 1891 aged  71 (death certificate) or 75 (according to internment doc)

Marital status on death certificate - Widower

Address: 56 Tullindaly Rd, Tuam, County Galway

job: VICTUALLER, BUTCHER

Married: 10 Feb 1841 Tuam to Bri (Bridget?) Monaghan (POSS born 1820?)

wedding witnessed by Mary Monaghan

they had Mary Glynn born: 1851 Tuam, County Galway.

Is listed in 1911 Irish census:

Was married for 35 years

address 31 and 32 Tullinadaly Road Tuam Urban (part of) Galway.  Widowed, 4 children born, 2 living.

Mary married Thomas Turner  on 30 Jan 1876 Tuam, County Galway

(only information on him lists Thomas Turner, Labourer, as his father from the marriage certificate).

From what I can trace, they had 4 children,

twins (Mary and Thomas) born 1ST Dec 1876,

John born 10th June 1880 and

Bridget Josephine (my ancestor) born 29 December 1879.

Both the boys had died by the 1911 census.  I cant find Mary, though this could be because she got married or went overseas.

BRIDGET JOSEPHINE TURNER, Born: 29 Dec 1879

Tuam Co Galway. Listed in Irish census 1901 Parlour maid

Died: 3 Feb 1945 Wandworth

She married Arthur Bannister in 1st Sept 1899 Wandsworth London.  I have information from this time going forward.

Many thanks for your time.

I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and the only Malachy Glynn record I located was March 29 1811 at St. Nicholas church in Galway city. Father Michael Glynn mother Kitty Kelly.

I checked for children of Malachy and Bridget and only found Mary but she was born in 1842 not 1851.

Mary Glynn baptized June 16 1842 in Tuam father Malachy Glynn mother Bridget Monaghan

There were three Thomas Turner baptismal records in Tuam with father Thomas:

Thomas Turner baptized December 5 1836 father Thomas Turner mother Bridget Walsh

Thomas Turner baptized April 21 1838 same parents (my guess is that the 1836 Thomas died in infancy)

Thomas Blake Turner baptized October 26 1842 father Thomas Blake Turner mother Julia Fitzgerald

Likely the 1838 record is your ancestor.

Bridget was born 12/24/1877 See sixth record  https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1877/02985/2093568.pdf

See fourth record for 1915 death record for Mary Turner. Informant was her daughter Mary Carrick.
