I am hoping to find out information regarding my ancestors from Lahardane, Kerry, Ireland. I will be in Ireland with my family in March 2024 - Limerick March 7th and 8th. I would love to connect with any relatives that may still be in the area. My mother believes that there were Murphy's that did not emigrate and remained in Ireland.

Thank you in advance for any assistance that you can provide!

  • Kaitlyn:

Here is the actual 1911 census return

Edward Murphy died March 9 1919. Listed as age 74. Informant was daughter Bridget. Lived in Lahardane. Married

See fifth record for death of Anne in 1948. Age was understated. Jeremiah was the informant.

Go to  Civil Records Tab and search for marriage records for the Murphy children in the Listowel registration district.

I'm not local but it appears likely that there could be connections in the area today.
